As the saying goes, you either love or hate durian, there is nothing in between. This spiky fruit, with its brownish-green peel, is as much renowned for its offensive odor, which most compare to rotten onions or stale cheese, as its sweet, custard-like taste. Nowadays, however, durian also comes in frozen form, either as a whole fruit or just the extracted flesh.

The Solo variety of Papaya is arguably the world’s major cultivar. It is favored because of its succulent flesh, which is juicy, sweetish and somewhat similar to a cantaloupe in flavor. It is also preferred to regular large fruited varieties due to its size; which mainly fluctuates between 22 to 30 centimeters in length and 10 to 12 centimeters in width. The wall of flesh is quite aromatic and can either be green, yellow or orange in color.
